Trekking in Sikkim

hills, full of flowering plants, birds chirping all along the
trails, snow clad peaks far off and the mighty Kanchenjunga
-- the third highest peak in the world provides and exhilarating
and memorable experience while trekking in Sikkim, Himalayas.
People have also seen snow leopord & blue sheep in these
areas. Unlike many other places, Sikkim's trekking trails are
not over crowded neither has it faced any negative impact, most
trails enter into wild vegetation where one see no civilization.
Sikkim Bhutan Trek: This superb journey combines the Himalayan
kingdoms of Sikkim and Bhutan, with visits to Darjeeling,
Kalimpong and Kathmandu. After a day in Darjeeling we drive
to Sikkim and the ancient capital of Yuksam. We commence our
trek through magnificent rhododendron forest on trails leading
to high alpine yak pastures at Dzongri, and camp beneath the
dramatic backdrop of Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest
peak.
We drive to Gangtok and the nearby Rumtek Monastery before
continuing to the former trading town of Kalimpong and the
Bhutan border of Phuntsoling. Few have the opportunity of
visiting the isolated Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan, and we are
privileged to undertake a special itinerary which includes
days walk in the Thimphu and Paro valleys. We hike above the
Paro valley to visit the dzongs of Paro and Thimphu.
Finally we fly to Nepal and visit the markets and temples
of Kathmandu.
